About Me : I provide a safe confidential space where together we can explore areas of your life, thoughts and emotions, and relationships you are struggling with. I focus on creating a collaborative trusting Relationship, with clear therapeutic objectives, and coping strategies tailored to your situation. This will make way for self expression, self understanding and and the potential for increased connection to self and others.

I have been working as a Psychotherapist since I graduated in 2002. I have been fortunate to have worked with a wide range of people from many situations and backgrounds. This has highlighted to me that most of us need to work through something at some stage in our lifetime. I believe that everyone matters, and I offer a space where you can be seen/heard, and understood.

Issues Covered : Issues that I often work with include:
Depression, Loneliness, Self-esteem and finding it hard to find a sense of self (who am I) and identity. Loss, Grief, and bereavement. Relationship issues and communication difficulties with peers, in the workplace, or with partner or relationship breakup. Early attachment difficulties with whanau, or adoption. PTSD, Trauma, Stress, Anxiety, Sexual abuse, Domestic abuse. Life transitions, life stages, retirement. Identity issues. Personal development and seeking coping skills.

Approaches and Modalities : Relational Psychodynamic Therapy, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Mindfullness based Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitisation & Reprocessing (EMDR) .

Qualifications : Graduate Diploma in Psychotherapy (AUT), Bachelor of Arts (Psychology & Education), Post Gradudate certificate in Advanced Psychotherapy practice, EMDR levels 1 and 2.

Registrations and Memberships : PBANZ, APANZ

Fees : $155 per 55 minute session. I offer an initial 15 minute phone conversation at no charge.
